BATWorks will anchor a growing innovation ecosystem along the New York Harbor for new climate technologists, entrepreneurs, and talent working to develop, pilot, and deploy new solutions to combat the effects of climate change.

Programs

BATWorks will enable emerging market innovators, small- and medium-sized companies, and growth-stage and commercialization-stage companies to build and rapidly prototype products, provide business support , and carry out product research and development using fit-for-purpose spaces such as specialized labs, coworking and events spaces. The hub will offer workforce training and additional benefits to Sunset Park and surrounding communities.

Join LACI and The Clean Fight at BATWorks for a multi-stakeholder panel and breakout discussions on how batteries and buildings can support the city's energy transition and whether batteries and energy storage could be a focus for future BATWorks programming. The session will be followed by a happy hour.

Fostering State and City Level Support for Climate Innovation

This National Coalition of Clean Energy Incubators (NCCEI) convening during Climate Week NYC will bring together leading advanced energy incubators from across the country, city representatives from LA and NYC, as well as leaders from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), the California Energy Commission (CEC), and the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC), to share best practices and lessons learned with other leaders from across the country.
